GENERAL GRAPHIC DESIGN REQUIREMENTS

• Standard label size is 7.5″ wide x 2.5″ high.
• Set up all files with a document size of 7.75″ x 2.75″ and consider a 1/8″ bleed and a 1/8″ safe area.
• Ensure that artwork resolution is a minimum of 600 dpi.
• Include all images used in label design as additional separate files.
• Convert all scalable type to outlines. Rasterize type in Photoshop.
• Layered files are required to match critical colors or Pantone Solid Coated colors.

COLOR SETTINGS

• Provide files in the RGB color mode.
• Embed the following ICC color profile: In your Color Settings window, under Working Space, assign the sRGB IEC61966-2.1 color profile and choose Preserve Embedded Profiles under Color Management policies.
• We also request that you send us a printed sample or pdf proof of your artwork. This will help us to determine whether there has been any shift in color, and to ensure that all fonts and images are present.
• You are responsible for securing authorization for any logos, trademarks or pictures.

NATIVE ARTWORK DOCUMENTS

Whenever possible, we prefer to receive artwork in its native design document. This allows us to make minor adjustments to optimize printed label output. We can accept files in the following software versions: Adobe Illustrator CS3 or Adobe Photoshop CS3 (or lower versions) for both PC and Mac platforms.

ACCEPTED FILE FORMATS

• We also accept files in the following formats: pdf, tif, jpg, eps
• When exporting a tif from Illustrator, be sure that the Anti-Alias and LZW Compression boxes are UNCHECKED.
• Export at 600 dpi.
